Go to the Iron Gate Cafe for a delicious Capital District breakfast or brunch. The service is great and there are gluten free and vegan options. The atmosphere is old world charm with original stain-glass windows and doors.

This brunch was phenomenal. I loved the Iron Gate eggs benedict with the pepper jack hollandaise. The maple turkey sausage was great. My friend’s cornrbead was delicious. The hash browns were excellent. A new favorite to return to when I next visit Albany!

Super cute patio out front. Rather long wait on a Saturday morning – so be warned. Got the motherclucker. Huge piece of chicken! The sauce on it was only so-so. Overall, super cute restaurant.

Love everything about this place! The atmosphere was GORGEOUS, inside is like someone’s home. Food was DELICIOUS, SERVICE was amazing , Sam was our server and she was really nice. Highly recommend!

My mom & I ate breakfast here everyday for 3 days straight. Our Airbnb was just a few short blocks and we were so pleased to find this gem. The restaurant is beautiful inside & out, everyone was so kind & attentive, the food & drinks were delicious!!!! AND they are dog friendly 🐶 We had Shannon as our waitress twice and she was absolutely the best!!! She even remembered us from our 1st day there. I highly recommend the apple cider mimosa!
