We had an absolutely fantastic dinner experience! Let me tell you, the food was incredibly fresh and delicious. And guess what? Our server, Lorena, was an absolute gem. The highlight of the evening was when she skillfully prepared the most mouthwatering homemade guacamole right before our eyes. I can’t even begin to describe how friendly and amazing everyone at the restaurant was. Seriously, if you happen to find yourself strolling along the Riverwalk, you absolutely must pay them a visit before you head out. Trust me, you won’t regret it!

Absolutely phenomenally flavored food. Every dish had a crescendo of will matched herbs, spices, ingredients and flavors. Our server Sophia was incredible! I highly recommend visiting.

We had the table side guacamole, smoked chicken quesadilla, stuffed avocado, steak and chicken fajitas with margaritas!

I recently visited Iron Cactus Mexican Restaurant and Margaritas, attracted by the great food, good location, and pleasant atmosphere. However, our experience was marred by a few disappointments. Firstly, the four Margaritas we ordered lacked the expected salt/sugar ring, which was a letdown.

Additionally, our interaction with Keyla, our waitress, left much to be desired. Her demeanor was not as friendly as we would have hoped for, impacting our overall dining experience.

While the establishment has its merits, it’s crucial for the staff to pay attention to details and ensure a more welcoming atmosphere. Addressing these issues could elevate the overall customer satisfaction.

On the other hand, talking about the rest was an overall delightful experience.
The food was fast and exceptional, with flavors that genuinely stood out. We tried the tortilla soup and brisket enchiladas, which both were exceptional.
The location is convenient, providing a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the dining experience.

Great location on the river walk with both outdoor and indoor dining. The fajitas were excellent and fresh both the chicken and carne. They have fajitas for 2 which was great after a long day of site seeing. They have happy hour drinks that are a little smaller but less pricy than the regular
Drinks. The only improvement was the restrooms were out of order so had to walk a bit to get to the bathroom but expect that was temporary.

While visiting San Antonio, the Iron Cactus was recommend to me as a good place to eat. I was not disappointed. The food was wonderful. My server Edith recommended the shrimp enchiladas, and they were amazing. The price was reasonable, especially since it is located on the River Walk. The service was wonderful. Well worth the visit.
